	Bullet Trains Slicing through the countryside at speeds of up to 185mph, a new Spanish bullet train whisks passengers from Madrid to Barcelona in just over 2 1/2 hours, challenging the supremacy of flight on one of the world's busiest air routes.		Hydroelectric Power By far the largest hydroelectric power plant in the world is ITAIPU, a project jointly developed by Brazil and Paraguay. With a capacity of 12,600 megawatts (MW), it produced a record 89 million MWh of electric power in 1997 - 26.4% of the total demand of Brazil and 79% of Paraguay.
	Alternate Energy The wind energy industry is booming and growing at a rate of about 50 per cent on a year-on-year basis. With oil prices well over $100 per barrel, the world has to look at other cheaper and safe options.		Medical Technologies Medical facilities with a specialty are being established worldwide. 	Resorts and Marinas With a beautiful natural setting as the only resource, bringing tourist traffic to the area is an excellent revenue producing investment.		Train A good Rail system transforms a county; it increased business activity and allows commerce to flourish in areas that previously would have been impossible to make a living in. It allows officials to move rapidly over the areas that they govern. Populations benefit from access to cheaper goods as the factories of can unleash their products to the far flung corners of the county: tinned goods, newspapers and all natural resources can be moved at a fraction of the cost, especially to a costal port, where transportation by ship reaches markets worldwide.
	Offshore Oil Platform A largely unexplored petroleum resource can be one of the country's most significant economic opportunities, as long as there is sufficient funding to allow for the construction of state of the art drilling platforms.		Refinery When crude oil does not have to be shipped out of country, but rather can be refined and sold as the finish product, the profit margins increase dramatically. It is necessary for a modern, efficient refinery to be completed and operational in the shortest time possible. When the refinery is located within reach of a Port facility, the markets of the world become a willing customer.
	Food Processing Plant A Food Processing Plant allows a region in one part of the country, with a surplus of farmed products, to package the excess and sell them to other regions without fear of spoilage. This greatly increases the market and therefore allows more farmers to grow produce without flooding the market and the resultant drop in value.		Pipeline Modern, well designed pipelines ensure that the product can reach the Port or Railhead for transportation to the markets of the world. With modern engineering there is no terrain that cannot be conquered, allowing for efficient and rapid transportation of a natural resource.
